The Blue Camels are a diabetes adventurist group in Bahrain.
In September 2011, 40 teams attempted to cross India in 2 weeks, in a 3000km charity ‘race’ from Shillong, Meghalaya to Jaisalmar, Rajasthan using only an auto rickshaw and their common sense. The Blue Camels – made up of three Bahraini adventurists- were one of those teams.
The Blue Camels became the first Arabs to ever embark on the mother of all Indian adventures. They met with diabetes specialists across India with the aim of fostering greater collaboration between India and the GCC towards tackling diabetes issues.
